DO NOT PRUNE YOURSELF!
Some things will fall away of their own accord, as leaves do.
Do not butcher yourself as gardeners do—
              you are not an ornamental lawn shrub,          
              to be trimmed and tamed into perfect poodle shapes.

Leave your hairs untrimmed.
Those who do not want to rub their face there wouldn’t do a good job anyway.

Revel in it.
Release yourself.

Give yourself permission.
              Allow.
