This was a wonderful experience, I really loved it! I was honestly nervous, as I didn’t know what questions’s they’d ask and I had to face my fears as a channel (you know, that I’d be “wrong”). I decided to trust myself and trust Adama. So I challenged myself and it went so well.

It was better than I had imagined it would be.

My mom listened. Immediately after the show ended, my mom posted this comment on my facebook page:

I was so amazed by her comment, that I had to take an hour to take it in, before I could call her to chat about the show. My mom is into similar things as me, she often would share with me about some book she had read from some channel or some tv show about the “other side’. I used to try to get her attention, saying things like “you know I can DO that, right mom?” Her eyes would kind of glaze over, and she would continue on with whatever she was saying. Eventually I gave up trying to prove myself to her. I can understand that it’s one thing to read a book, and another thing to accept that your kid is doing what you’re reading about.

But recently, my mom has been opening to understanding more about me.

This comment touched my heart. I had given up hope that my parents would ever understand me. I decided to instead do my best to accept them as they are.

To me, this comment means my mom saw me. Really saw me. That is valuable beyond measure.

I am so grateful.
